Aarif Sheikh, born on October 5, 1997, in Birgunj, Nepal, is a prominent Nepalese cricketer who has represented the national team in both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals (T20Is). A right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler, Aarif is known for his versatility and composure on the field. Formerly the vice-captain of Nepal’s Under-19 team, he has grown into an essential player for the senior team.
Aarif made his ODI debut on August 1, 2018, against the Netherlands, a historic match marking Nepal’s entry into ODI cricket, and his T20I debut on January 16, 2019, against the UAE. He last appeared in an ODI on November 4, 2024, against Scotland and in a T20I on October 20, 2024, against the USA.
