He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. Hameed played a key role for Chitwan Rhinos in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024.
Career
Hameed began his cricketing journey in India, representing Kerala at various age levels from Under-13 to Under-25. He was on the verge of playing Ranji Trophy cricket for Kerala when he moved to the UAE six years ago, seeking better opportunities to balance work and cricket.
In the UAE, Hameed has been a consistent performer, playing for various teams, including Sharjah, Fujairah Pacific Ventures, and MI Emirates. He has also represented the UAE national team in multiple formats. As of December 2024, he has played 89 matches, scoring 1,457 runs and taking 40 wickets.
