Douthwaite attended Reed’s School in Cobham, Surrey, where he made headlines by scoring the fastest-ever century in English Schools Cricket—a 31-ball hundred in a 35-over game.
He furthered his education at Cardiff Metropolitan University, earning a degree in Sports Management.
Domestic Career:
- Warwickshire (2018): Douthwaite made his List A debut for Warwickshire against West Indies A on June 17, 2018.
- Cardiff MCCU (2019): He played for Cardiff MCCU, making his first-class debut on March 26, 2019, against Somerset. During this period, he scored his maiden first-class century, an unbeaten 100 from 107 balls against Sussex.
- Glamorgan (2019–Present): In April 2019, Douthwaite signed with Glamorgan and quickly became a key player across all formats. His impactful performances include a rapid unbeaten 52 from 35 balls against Sussex in a televised 50-over match.
