Indian cricket star Shikhar Dhawan will be paid $30,000 (approximately NPR 40.5 lakhs) for each match he plays in the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024. Dhawan has signed with the Karnali Yaks, and the franchise has confirmed he will play four matches during the tournament.
Dhawan is expected to arrive in Nepal on November 29 and will attend the NPL opening ceremony. Although he won’t be playing on the first day, he will interact with fans and enjoy the opening festivities. The cricket icon will feature in the NPL despite his usual social media posts fetching up to 1 crore INR.
The Nepal Premier League 2024 kicks off on November 30, with matches to be held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Fans are eagerly awaiting the thrilling action with big names like Dhawan and other international stars participating in the inaugural edition of the tournament.
